20 Aug Meet Celeste – Owner and Founder of Bold Curiosity
I birthed Bold Curiosity in 2014. A proud owner, I stand in awe and wonder of everything I have achieved over the past 6 years. Next month I celebrate my 6-year anniversary at Bold Curiosity. When I first birthed the business, it didn’t have a name at the time. But I had a vision and that is the most important aspect. Everything else flows from a vision. My vision was to leap, spread my wings, do what I love, make a difference and pay the bills. As for my identity – it has certainly become clearer during the first year of me going on my own. I’ve come to learn that identity in a business is an interesting concept. I am the business yet I’m completely separate from it. That begs the question – who am I?
My name is Celeste and I am a rebel, I push the boundaries and I am a free spirit. I am a thought-leader in the field of adult learning and curiosity. I’ve spent a significant amount of my life thinking that I needed to conform to the world’s view of what success is. Until the day I decided that enough is enough … I want to live my life, like REALLY live my life. And I want to do it my way. The day I committed to paving my own path was the day I turned on my inner power and never looked back. I must say at this point, that even though I’m paving my own way, I stand on the shoulders of the womxn and men who have laid a foundation for me. Thank you ancestors! I am a classic extrovert in that I enjoy being surrounded by people and I appreciate a fair bit of stimulation. However, and this certainly happened as I matured and became older, I also enjoy solitude. Quietness. It’s bliss and I crave silence to think, write and allow my curiosity to run free.
I’ve committed to being authentic in my business, to have impact and to build a relationship-centered organisation. Living an authentic life is bringing me the greatest amount of joy and I am experiencing the magic of self-actualization. My life goal is to create an enabling environment for others, where people can see their potential and what they’re capable of. Imagine how cool life could be if every person were doing what they love? I think it’s possible. In fact, I don’t think it should be an option or a realisation reserved for an elite few. Everyone deserves this kind of happiness. How cool is it that I get to sprinkle some of this magic in the work I do.
So I am an enabler, a pioneer, a rebel and a thought-leader. I wear many other hats but more about that later.
Thank you for reading my story.
I’m curious – what’s YOUR story? What do you want your story to be? What can you do today to get closer to your own story?
